Welcome to Class 5V

Welcome to Class 5V, where we believe that every day is an opportunity to discover something new. Our teacher, Miss Shelton, will guide us through an exciting year filled with learning, adventure, hard work, fun and endless curiosity. We are a friendly and enthusiastic Year 5 class who love taking on new challenges and making the most of every opportunity that comes our way.

This year, we will explore a range of fascinating topics across the curriculum. In History, we will travel back in time to learn about the Ancient Greeks, uncovering their myths, legends, achievements and lasting influence on the modern world. We will also become historians as we investigate the lives of the Vikings, discovering what life was like for these fearless explorers, traders and warriors, and learning about their impact on Britain.

In Geography, we will journey across the world to investigate the mysteries and wonders of deserts, exploring how people, animals and plants survive in some of Earth's most extreme environments. We will also study the magnificent Alps, learning about mountain landscapes, climate, tourism and the people who live there.

From creative projects and exciting writing activities to hands-on investigations in science and collaborative problem-solving, there is always something inspiring happening in our classroom. We enjoy asking questions, sharing ideas and developing the confidence to think independently.

In 5V, we support one another, challenge ourselves and celebrate our successes together. We are kind, respectful and determined learners who strive to do our very best every day. We cannot wait to see what adventures this year brings and look forward to making wonderful memories as we learn, grow and achieve together.
